    Commerical Project

či čʊy ʔaye & ayiš ʔaye (“Cousins’ House”)

    project overview

SILEX proudly contributed to Tla’amin Nation’s new fieldhouse and youth centre—či čʊy ʔaye & ayiš ʔaye, meaning “Cousins’ House.” This purpose-built space fosters community connection, cultural programs, and youth engagement on the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia.

Set against a coastal backdrop, the building was designed with sustainability and long-term performance in mind. Our custom fiberglass window systems were selected for their exceptional energy efficiency, low thermal expansion, and resistance to moisture—an ideal match for the region’s coastal climate.

Beyond durability, fiberglass offers a lower environmental footprint, supporting the Nation’s commitment to green building and future-focused development.

    Highlights:

      • Fiberglass frames suited for high-humidity coastal regions

      • Canadian-made systems contributing to sustainability goals

      • Long-lasting materials with minimal maintenance

      • Energy-efficient glazing for thermal comfort and cost savings
